English language Pre-primary & Primary education in Arusha, Tanzania

Providing hands-on, cooperative learning, English language literacy, social-moral development and a green environmental ethic in a safe and fun environment.
We believe that developing the intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual potentials of a child results in creative, respectful, disciplined and morally upright members of the global community.
The children enjoy a wide range of activities, helping them to develop and enabling them to be successful in whatever area their talents take them.

Quality education for both boys and girls is crucial in reducing poverty and promoting gender equality.  Tanzania is currently struggling with overcrowded classes and a lack of skilled teachers. This is where Jonor School works hard on building a future, and this is exactly how you can help the people of Tanzania!

The challenges we meet in providing quality care are, to name a few:

  • Helping our students come to school from far distances,
  • Securing funds to pay our workers: teachers/cooks,
  • A shortage of experienced teachers,
  • Providing nutritious meals to the children,
  • Late-pay fees from parent/guardian or inability to pay the fees,
  • Children's illness: malaria, diarrhea, skin disease
  • etc..
If you believe, as we do, that the future of any country starts with good education, you can help out in a number of ways. You can sponsor a child that, due to circumstances, otherwise would not be able to study at Jonor School. You can donate money or goods to our school, that we can use for our daily lessons. And last but not least, if you have the skills that would benefit our teachers, you can volunteer at Jonor School for the experience of a life-time!
